Matthew 13:44
In his book “Desiring God”, John Piper said, “God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him.” What John Piper is trying to say is that when we enjoy God himself (not only to obtain his blessings), it is the greatest glory that we can give to God. God is the source of all things, and there is none more glorious than him. When we love something more than God himself, we are saying that God is not more precious than that object. However, when God becomes our greatest source of pleasure and joy, then we are saying that there is nothing more precious in this world compared to God, and that greatly glorifies God.
IREC Sydney undertakes the responsibility in this age to fight against the flow of the world that drags us to make ourselves our own idols. Through the Youth and Worker Bible Study groups, IREC Sydney bears a mission to form frames of thought and the concept of values of youths and workers before and after they enter the workforce with its strong worldly pull. In the Bible Study groups, youths and workers will be taught Biblical worldviews so that they may be strong and steadfast in facing the flow of this age.
We invite all the youths and workers to join this Bible Study groups and learn to see this world and live in it according to God’s will.
