Pulpit ministry such as interpretation/translation is a ministry that requires much prayer, so that we may always be honest and open before God, who is pleased to use us as His mouthpiece. What is most needed in this ministry is not eloquence, but the same core foundation of all ministry: self-denial and taking up the cross.

This ministry requires an awareness of absolute dependence on God, not on our own ability and strength. Thorough preparation before serving, accompanied by prayer and humility before God, is essential, so that He may be pleased to use us despite our many shortcomings filled with His guidance and power as we interpret His Word. In this way, the Word conveyed in a foreign language may carry the same meaning and power as when it is delivered by His servant. May the Lord who has entrusted this ministry to us also be the One who equips us and is with us, in one spirit together with His servant, as the Word of God is proclaimed.
