The transcript ministry is not merely about typing out sermon transcripts mindlessly. Often, as we type, God’s Word speaks to us again, and we may even catch important points that we did not have the chance to write down. This can greatly help our meditation on God’s Word.

How many of us take time to reflect again on the Word of God from the sermon we heard that week? Most of us no longer think about the key points from that sermon. Yet sermons are meant to prepare and equip us to face the days ahead in the coming week.

The transcript ministry helps us remember sermons that were originally heard as audio and are then made into sentences that can be read again and again. Human beings are weak and often forget. How often do we forget the Word we have heard or read? It is not uncommon for us even to forget that God sent His only Son to redeem us from our sins; to forget that God is present everywhere; to forget that the Lord will come a second time at an hour we do not expect.

When we stop meditating on the Word, our thoughts tend to drift toward sin. The more we forget the Word, the bolder we become in sinning.
