The teenage years are a time when young people begin searching for their identity and seeking acceptance from their surroundings and friends. It is also a season when they start thinking more critically and become more confident in expressing what they want. As Christian parents, we have a responsibility to lead and introduce our children—especially those who have entered their teenage years—to know God and their Savior personally. During this stage, teenagers also begin to experience peer pressure from those around them.

That is why, as a church, we also have a responsibility—alongside the family—to provide guidance for teenagers in accordance with the truth of God’s Word. We invite and encourage parents to worship together with us and to bring their teenagers so that we can learn God’s Word together at GRII Sydney. In the teen class, the youth will interact with one another and reflect on God’s Word as it relates directly to the Christian faith, and on how to respond rightly to the challenges of our times. The teen class consists of youth with an average age of 12–15 years old.
